— The last live basketball recruiting period of the summer ends at 5 pm Pacific time today.

A typical day for the Arkansas coaches watching games started at 8 am and ended around 11 pm. That was the schedule Thursday through Saturday. The live period started at 5 pm on Wednesday.

Arkansas could extend a few offers after being able to see prospects in action.

Urban DFW Elite guard Josh Parrish is one that probably helped his stock with the coaches.

Parrish, 6-5, 200 of Arlington, (Texas) Juan Seguin has offers from SMU, TCU, VCU and Fresno State. He's definitely interested in the Hogs and will likely visit once he gets an offer. Assistant Matt Zimmerman is his lead recruiter.

Guard Cameron McGriff, 6-7, 210 of Grand Prairie, (Texas) South Grand Prairie also plays for Urban DFW Elite and had an offer coming into the Adidas Uprising Summer Championships. He plans to visit Arkansas.

He has about seven offers, including Arkansas, SMU, Houston and Oklahoma. ESPN rates him the No. 20 small forward and No. 97 prospect in the nation.

The Arkansas Wings Elite defeated Mac Irvin Fire of Chicago 84-78 to win The 8 Championship game on Saturday. Guard Malik Monk had 34 points, including six three pointers. Coach Mike Anderson and all three assistants attended the game. They also caught the Wings' first game on Wednesday night.

North Carolina coach Roy Williams and Kentucky coach John Calipari were also on hand for the championship game.

Wings forward Eric Curry , 6-8, 195 pounds of Southwest Christain Academy in Little Rock had six points in the championship game. He had 11 points in the semi-final game vs. Elfrid Payton Elite of Louisiana on Friday. He definitely has the athleticism needed to play in the SEC. He plays hard and has a nice 8-10 foot jumper and is also a very aggressive rebounder.

Wings forward Mitchell Smith, 6-10, 200 of Van Buren showed well in the semi-final game and ended up with seven points.

Wings guard Payton Willis, 6-4, 170 of Fayetteville played very well in the semi-final and championship game. He can play the point and the two spot. He had seven points in the Championship game. He probably helped his stock and might add some offers with his play.

Arkansas running back target Devwah Whaley of Beaumont, (Texas) Central said the Arkansas coaches helped make his Thursday visit great. He said he got a good vibe from them. He took in the squat session Arkansas had inside the stadium.

Defensive lineman Chris Daniels of Euless, (Texas) Trinity visited Thursday and was to meet with the coaches on Friday but had an ACT class made him unable to make it.

Devwah Whaley said reports of him having a top three schools of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Georgia are not true. HIs top five remains the same with Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M and Georgia.

Daniels left Fayetteville on Saturday.

9:12 update

Highly regarded receiver Tyrell Alexander of Lancaster, Texas said he's considering Arkansas after reopening his recruiting from his commitment to Oklahoma State. He said he may take an official visit to Arkansas.
