Arkansas is No. 20 in the preseason Amway Coaches Poll that was released Thursday by USA Today.

It is the first time the Razorbacks have been ranked since the 2012 season, when they were No. 21 in the Week 2 poll. They entered that season at No. 10 in the country.

Seven other SEC teams are also in the preseason poll, including Arkansas' two SEC East opponents: Missouri (No. 23) and Tennessee (No. 25).

The Volunteers and Razorbacks had the fewest wins in 2014 among the top 25, with both going 7-6 last season.

Alabama (No. 3), Auburn (No. 7), Georgia (No. 9), LSU (No. 13) and Ole Miss (No. 15) are the other SEC teams in the poll.

Five of the unranked SEC teams received votes: Mississippi State (164 votes, No. 26), Texas A&M (149 votes, No. 27), South Carolina (18 votes, No. 36), Florida (2 votes, No. 47) and Kentucky (1 vote, No. 50). Vanderbilt is the only team that did not receive a vote.

The AP preseason poll comes out Aug. 23.

Arkansas opens the season Sept. 5 against UTEP. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. and the game will air on ESPNU.
