The Recruiting Guy

Recruiting Thursday interviews

Razorback coach Bret Bielema congratulates Alan Turner, left as quarterback Brandon Allen celebrates winning the Texas Bowl MVP award, right, after their victory over Texas during a Texas Bowl trophy presentation in Houston.

Offensive lineman Thiyo Lukusa, 6-6, 292, 5.19 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Traverse City West High School started off the show. He has about 15 scholarship offers from schools like Arkansas, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Ohio State and others.

His relationship with Arkansas offensive line coach Sam Pittman and graduate assistant Eric Mateos is a big reason why he wants to visit the Razorbacks. He's hoping to visit Fayetteville in the spring or summer.

Running back Dedrick Mills, 5-10, 212, 4.46 of Waycross, (Ga.) Ware County was up next. He is planning to visit Arkansas in the spring. He has about 20 offers and has the Hogs as one of his top five schools along with Florida State, Alabama, Georgia and Georgia Tech.

He's being recruited by defensive line coach Rory Segrest.

Running back Devin White, 6-2, 235 pounds, 4.47 seconds in the 40-yard dash, closed out the show by recapping his visit to Arkansas last weekend. He has scholarship offers more than 20 schools, including Arkansas, LSU, Alabama, Nebraska and Ole Miss. He had good things to say about Coach Bret Bielema, running backs coach Jemal Singleton and his lead recruiter, receivers coach Michael Smith.
