Wednesday recruiting tidbits

A highly recruited defensive lineman is considering a visit to Arkansas because what another highly regarded prospect has told him about the Hogs.

Junior defensive lineman Michael Williams, 6-2 1/2, 300, 4.95 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Fort Worth, (Texas) All Saints Episcopal is friends with sophomore linebacker Baron Browning and is interested in visiting.

Browning received an offer from the Razorbacks after attending a summer camp last year and has told Williams good things about the coaching staff and Fayetteville. Video highlights CLICK HERE

Williams, who has more than 30 offers, said he's been talking to the Hogs and thinks an offer could be coming.

Junior quarterback Messiah DeWeaver, 6-4, 205 of Huber Heights, (Ohio) Wayne received an offer from Arkansas today. He's a former Michigan commitment that has about 15 offers. He said he's excited about the offer and will talk to his parents about a visit. Video highlights CLICK HERE

Athlete Caron Baham, 6-1, 190, 4.5 of Marrero, (La.) John Ehret received an offer from Arkansas today. He's teammates with linebackers De'jon Harris and Michael Divinity. Both have said they plan to visit Fayetteville.

Tight end Brendan Scales, 6-4, 230, 4.78 of Wildwood, (Mo.) LaFayette also received an offer from the Hogs today. He's been talking to offensive line coach Sam Pittman. Video highlights CLICK HERE

Junior defensive lineman Michael Perry, 6-2, 310, 5.3 of Memphis Whitehaven said Arkansas and Ole Miss are his top two schools. He's being recruited by defensive line coach Rory Segrest. Video highlights CLICK HERE
