Felix Jones was among a group of running backs and wide receivers that worked out with the Dallas Cowboys Thursday, according to multiple reports.

The former Arkansas running back was drafted by the Cowboys in 2008 and played with them through the 2012 season.

He signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2013 before being traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers prior to the season. That was his last action in the NFL.

If he was to sign with Dallas, Jones would be reunited with Darren McFadden, who Jones shared the backfield with at Arkansas from 2005 to 2007.

During his NFL career, Jones has rushed for 2,912 yards and 11 touchdowns, averaging 4.7 yards per carry. He also has 137 receptions for 1,129 yards and three touchdowns to go along with one kickoff return for a touchdown.

Earlier this year, he participated in the NFL's inaugural veteran's combine, where he posted a 4.79 seconds. That is significantly slower than his 4.47-second 40-yard dash time at the 2008 NFL Draft Combine.
