Junior forward Jared Ridder received a scholarship offer during a Monday evening in-home visit with Arkansas Coach Mike Anderson and associate head coach Melvin Watkins.
Ridder, 6-7, 195 pounds, of Springfield (Mo.) Kickapoo, made a quick unofficial visit to Fayetteville on April 10 while playing for Mokan Elite in Northwest Arkansas for a basketball tournament.
He has seven other scholarship offers from schools like DePaul, Stetson, Missouri State and Lehigh. He averaged 19.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game, shooting 58 percent from the field and 40 percent from beyond the three-point line while leading the Chiefs to a 29-3 record this season.
