The Recruiting Guy

Sunday visit updates

NWA Democrat-Gazette/J.T. WAMPLER Arkansas football head coach Bret Bielema talks Sunday Dec. 6, 2015 about the Razorbacks' invitation to attend the Liberty Bowl in Memphis playing against Kansas State. The hogs won five of their last six games to become bowl eligible.

Arkansas hosted six prospects on official visits and received four commitments on Saturday.

Georgia has offered Arkansas commitments Kiel Pollard and Dee Walker.

Pollard is expected to announce his final decision today after taking an earlier visit to South Carolina.

More updates will be posted after the recruits leave Fayetteville.

7:46 update

Today is a quiet day so there will be no coaches on the road for in-home visits. The NCAA changed this a couple years ago.

8:43 update

It can be confirmed that Oklahoma State defensive end Jonathan Marshall , 6-4, 275 of Shepherd, Texas visited this weekend along with his mother. Hearing Arkansas' chances are very good.

9:15 update

Hearing linebacker commit Dee Walker is very solid to Arkansas.

9:47 update

Here's the latest on Pollard and Walker, Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County Coach Rush Propst is saying Georgia has not offered Pollard or Walker. I would say this is a very good source.

12:26 update

Hearing linebacker commitment De'jon Harris of Marrero, (La.) John Ehret and defensive tackle commitment Briston Guidry of Metairie (La.) Rummel are very solid to the Hogs after visiting Alabama and Arizona State this weekend.

3:00 update

I like Arkansas' chances of flipping DE Jonathan Marshall.

As reported earlier, I expect DE Allen Cater to commit to North Carolina.

3:08 update

Florida has offered Arkansas cornerback commitment Joseph Putu.

3:38 update

Putu said the offer from Florida doesn't change his commitment to Arkansas.
