Moore named SEC co-golfer of the week

Arkansas senior Taylor Moore was named the SEC co-golfer of the week Wednesday by the league office.

Moore followed up his medalist title at the All-American Intercollegiate with a tie for second place last weekend at the Querencia Cabo Collegiate in Los Cabos, Mexico. Moore finished with an 8-under-par 205 in the 54-hole event, tying California’s Collin Morikawa and Georgia’s Lee McCoy one stroke behind medalist Aksel Olsen of South Florida.

A native of Edmond, Okla., Moore is riding a career-best streak of five consecutive rounds under par which started with his second and third rounds at the All-American Intercollegiate en route to a 9-under 207 and a victory by three strokes over Matt Nesmith.

Moore and the Razorbacks won the All-American Intercollegiate and finished ninth at the Querencia Cabo. Moore has won SEC golfer of the week honors four times in his career.

Coach Brad McMakin’s Razorbacks resume play March 14 at the 36-hole Southern Intercollegiate in Athens, Ga.
