Hogs sending 54 to NCAA regional

— Arkansas' men's and women's track and field teams, both coming off SEC Outdoor championships, are sending a combined 54 athletes to the NCAA West Regional May 28-30 in Lawrence, Kan.

The Razorbacks' No. 1-ranked women's team has 23 athletes competing in 15 events with 33 combined qualifying marks, led by regional leaders Dominique Scott-Efurd (5,000 and 10,000 meters), Payton Stumbaugh (100-meter hurdles) and Lexi Weeks (pole vault).

Arkansas' No. 5 men's team has 31 athletes qualified in 19 events with 41 combined qualifying marks led by Jarrion Lawson (second in the long jump, sixth in the 200 and eighth in the 100 along with a spot on the 400 relay) and Clive Pullen (first in the triple jump).

The top 12 qualifiers from each event advance to the NCAA Championships June 8-11 in Eugene, Ore.

The East Regional is being held in Jacksonville, Fla.
