Luke Bonfield, Arkansas left fielder, runs the bases after hitting a home run Thursday, April 13, 2017, during the third inning against Georgia at Baum Stadium in Fayetteville.

Arkansas 14, Georgia 4, FINAL

The Razorbacks tied a season-high with five home runs. Arkansas improved to 5-0 in SEC series openers. Much more coming soon on the site.

Arkansas 14, Georgia 4, End 8th Inning

Five different Razorbacks have hit home runs tonight and Arkansas has eclipsed its home run total from last season. Alex Gosser's pinch-hit homer with one out in the eighth extended the Razorbacks' lead and was the team's 50th this year. It was Gosser's first career home run.

Arkansas 13, Georgia 4, Top 8th Inning

Michael Curry has accounted for all 4 RBI tonight for Georgia after his three-run home run off Arkansas reliever Weston Rogers. Curry's home run total is now seven this season and his batting average is above .340.

Arkansas 13, Georgia 1, Middle 7th Inning

Jacob Kostyshock walked two straight to leadoff the seventh and was replaced by Weston Rogers, who got out of the inning with a 6-3 double play. Jax Biggers' throw was high to Chad Spanberger - similar to that error that gave LSU the go-ahead run last week - but Spanberger was able to catch it and get his toe on the bag just before the runner.

Arkansas 13, Georgia 1, End 5th Inning

Jake Arledge scored on a wild pitch and Chad Spanberger scored on a fielder's choice to extend the lead in the fifth. Spanberger has reached base in all four of his at-bats tonight.

Arkansas 11, Georgia 1, Bottom 5th Inning

The Razorbacks have matched their home run total from last season with Jax Biggers' solo home run to leadoff the bottom of the fifth. Arkansas has hit 49 home runs this season - including four tonight. The Razorbacks hit 49 in 55 games last season.

Arkansas 10, Georgia 1, Top 5th Inning

It has been a nice outing so far for Blaine Knight, who had retired six straight before a leadoff single in the fifth. Knight has four strikeouts to one walk. The Bulldogs have three hits, with their only run coming on that leadoff home run in the second.

Jared Gates reached when he was hit by a pitch with one out. He advanced on a passed ball and wild pitch, but was stranded at third when Dominic Fletcher struck out.

Arkansas 10, Georgia 1, Bottom 3rd Inning

It's a blowout now. Georgia reliever Tony Locey threw two wild pitches to bring runners home, including one while trying to intentionally walk Chad Spanberger. Then Luke Bonfield followed with a three-run home run on the next pitch that landed in the Hog Pen in left field.

The Razorbacks have scored seven in the inning.

Arkansas 5, Georgia 1, Bottom 3rd Inning

The Razorbacks' 47th home run of the season belongs to Carson Shaddy, whose two-run shot into the left field bullpen has given Arkansas a 5-1 lead in the third. Shaddy's homer came on a 2-0 pitch from Georgia starter Blakely Brown. Grant Koch had led off the inning with a single to right field.

Arkansas has scored in every inning so far - a start similar to its game against Missouri State a couple nights ago when it scored in six of the first seven innings.

Arkansas 3, Georgia 1, Bottom 2nd Inning

Give Chad Spanberger 2 more RBI. His two-out, two-strike double in the second scored Jax Biggers and Jake Arledge to give the Razorbacks a 3-1 lead. Biggers singled and Arledge was hit by a pitch. Spanberger's hit came on a 1-2 count. He hugged it inside the first base line and into the corner in right field. The hit was reviewed and upheld.

Arkansas 1, Georgia 1, Top 2nd Inning

The Bulldogs are on the board one pitch into the second inning. Clean-up hitter Michael Curry sent a Blaine Knight fastball into the Arkansas bullpen in left field. That's the first home run Knight has given up since the Missouri game three weeks ago.

Arkansas 1, Georgia 0, End 1st Inning

Luke Bonfield reached on an error and Grant Koch singled to give the Razorbacks two on and one out in the inning, but Carson Shaddy flied out and Jared Gates grounded out to strand two.

Arkansas 1, Georgia 0, Bottom 1st Inning

Chad Spanberger just keeps going. His solo home run to the left field has given the Razorbacks the lead in the first inning. Spanberger hit it the opposite way, continuing a streak of good opposite-field hitting for him. Arkansas hitting coach Tony Vitello told me a couple of weeks ago that Spanberger's batting practices have included rounds where he is only trying to hit it to center field, which has contributed to him becoming less of a pull hitter and more of an all-around hitter. His batting average is hovering near .300 now and that was his seventh home run of the year, including his third in the past week.

Arkansas 0, Georgia 0, Middle 1st Inning

Blaine Knight issued a leadoff walk, but he picked off Georgia's Tucker Maxwell with one out to clear the bases. Knight finished the inning with a strikeout of Keegan McGovern.

Pregame

It's a cloudy evening at Baum Stadium; kind of warm and a little muggy. There is a chance of rain tonight.

Georgia is 15-19 overall and 4-8 in the SEC, but the Bulldogs come into the game off a 5-1 win over their rival Georgia Tech on Tuesday.

Here are the starting lineups:
