Fletcher named summer league MVP

— Arkansas outfielder Dominic Fletcher was named most valuable player for the California Collegiate League Tournament earlier this week.

Fletcher helped lead the Orange County Riptide to a win in the league championship game on Sunday in Compton, Calif. Fletcher had three hits in the championship game, including a solo home run and RBI double.

In 26 summer games, Fletcher batted .358 with 6 home runs and 27 RBI. He and Arkansas pitcher/outfielder Evan Lee were named to the California Collegiate League All-Star Game last month.

Fletcher started 56 games in center field and was a consensus Freshman All-American for the Razorbacks in 2017.
