Isaiah Campbell to miss second weekend with sore arm

Arkansas pitcher Isaiah Campbell looks toward home plate during a scrimmage Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, in Fayetteville.

— Arkansas pitcher Isaiah Campbell will miss the Razorbacks' series against Bryant this weekend, coach Dave Van Horn said Wednesday.

Campbell, a right-handed sophomore, has been unable to pitch this season because of soreness in his throwing arm. He is projected to be one of Arkansas' weekend starters when he is healthy.

"Last week we had hoped he could pitch on Sunday," Van Horn said, "...but it's still the same."

Arkansas will use the same starting rotation this weekend as it did for its season-opening sweep of Miami (Ohio). Blaine Knight will start Friday, Trevor Stephan will start Saturday and Kevin Kopps will start Sunday.

Fifth-year senior pitcher Josh Alberius said he expects Campbell "back in a couple of weeks, better than ever."
