Mega Memphis Football Camp Updates

Arkansas assistant coach Barry Lunney Jr. directs his players Saturday, April 1, 2017, during practice at the university practice field in Fayetteville.

— The Mega Memphis football camp just started and will involve four sessions and last until 6:15. All of the Arkansas assistants are here.

Former Hog BB guard Warren Linn is here with his son Trace, who's a 2018 TB-TE from BTW in Tulsa. He was the defensive MVP of a recent SMU camp and received an offer from the Mustangs.

Warren looks like an NFL defensive lineman now. He weighs 290 and is cut. He stands out in the crowd.

Updates coming throughout the day.

11:07 update

OL Nigel Brannon of Oklahoma City John Marshall is working out in the first session. He looks great in drills. Hog OL Kurt Anderson is keeping a close eye on him.

Brannon plans to attend Arkansas' Trench Hog camp June 18.

Jonesboro OL Noah Gatlin will be in the second session that starts at 12:15.

Mississippi State, Memphis and others talked to Nigel Brannon after the first session was completed. He definitely caught the eyes the coaches with his agility. He weighed in at 353 today.

Arkansas LB coach Vernon Hargreaves was seen talking to 2019 LB Chops Sanders of Springdale Har-Ber during the first session. He's one to keep an eye on in the future. He attended the Hogs' Elite Camp June 3. He's 6-2, 193 with good speed.

RB coach Reggie Mitchell and several others were watching RB Jeremy Banks of Cordova, Tenn. He has several offers but don't expect anything to happen with him.

Arkansas, Auburn, Mississippi State, Missouri, Arkansas State are some of the schools here.

Look for Arkansas to get involved with class of 2020 CB Avantae Williams, who's committed to Miami.

Williams, 5-11, 170 of Deland, Fla. also has offers from Alabama, UCLA, Florida, South Carolina and others.

He was seen talking to DC Paul Rhoads and LB coach Vernon Hargreaves.

Tennessee and Notre Dame talked to Springdale Har-Ber athlete Payton Copher during the second session. He worked out as a DB today.

Bentonville West junior receiver Jadon Jackson took part in the second session. He attend the Hogs' elite camp on June 3.

Class of 2019 WR Jameson Williams of Cardinal Ritter High School in St. Louis is here as is 2019 DB Gregory Brooks of

Harvey, (La.) West Jefferson. The Hogs have strong interest in both.

Fayetteville junior QB Darius Bowers participated in the second session. I expect him to see interest increase during the season. He was the backup to Taylor Powell this past season.

4:50 update

Jonesboro OL Noah Gatlin and Star City OL Jax Gasaway were very impressive during 1-on-1's with Hog OL Kurt Anderson watching. Both plan to be at the Trench Hog camp on June 18. A good showing there could results in offers from the Razorbacks.
