No. 15 Texas A&M women beat Arkansas in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Danni Williams scored 22 points with four 3-pointers, Chennedy Carter had 19 points, five rebounds and eight assists and No. 15 Texas A&M beat Arkansas 82-52 on Thursday in the second round of the Southeastern Conference Tournament.

Carter scored seven of her team's first nine points, Texas A&M closed the first quarter on an 8-0 run and the Aggies held Arkansas to three second-quarter field goals en route to a 41-19 lead. The Aggies made their final 10 shots of the first quarter and their first two of the second.

Khaalia Hillsman added 10 points and 13 rebounds for Texas A&M (23-8). Anriel Howard also grabbed 13 boards as the Aggies outrebounded Arkansas 63-32.

Fifth-seeded Texas A&M faces 24th-ranked and No. 4 seed LSU on Friday.

Devin Cosper scored 15 points on 6-of-20 shooting for Arkansas (13-18). She was just 1 of 10 from distance as the Razorbacks hit 6 of 33. Malica Monk added 13 points.
