CHALK TALK Arkansas opens its regular season by hosting Northwestern State in its ninth consecutive “Elementary Day” promotion. … In two exhibition games, the Razorbacks eclipsed the 100-point scoring mark and showed off an offense that should be much improved from last season. … The Lady Demons return their second-leading scorer from last season, Libba Gillam, who averaged 10.7 points per game. … Northwestern State has played in Fayetteville nine times, and the Razorbacks have been undefeated in those matchups. All three losses came away from home. … “[Elementary Day] is an incredible atmosphere for our kids, and they look forward to it,” Neighbors said. “They’ll cheer for everything.”
