— Former Arkansas guard Jordan Phillips has transferred to Texas-Arlington, the program announced Friday.

Phillips played in seven games as a freshman for the Razorbacks before leaving the team in January. He will be eligible to play at UT-Arlington following the first semester of the 2019-20 season, but it is not clear whether he will be classified as a redshirt freshman or sophomore.

Phillips underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus last summer and was not cleared to practice until Nov. 20. He played in his first game the following day against Montana State and played in his final game Jan. 5 at Texas A&M.

He scored 10 points and had five rebounds in 38 minutes of playing time. He scored two points and had a rebound in the Razorbacks' 78-60 win over UT-Arlington on Nov. 23.

Phillips is from Fort Worth, Texas. He was rated the state's 11th-best prospect in high school.
