— Arkansas has been picked to finish third in the Southeastern Conference Western Division by the league’s baseball coaches.

The Razorbacks are predicted to finish behind LSU and Ole Miss in the division. Arkansas tied for the division championship with Ole Miss last year.

LSU received 10 first-place votes by coaches, but Arkansas, Ole Miss, Auburn and Texas A&M all received one first-place vote. The Razorbacks also received a vote to win the overall league championship, which they have not won since 2004.

Vanderbilt was picked to win the SEC East and the league championship. The Commodores received six first-place votes, followed by LSU with five, Florida with two and Arkansas.

Coaches cannot vote for their own teams and the ballots are not made public.

Four Arkansas players - shortstop Casey Martin, pitcher Matt Cronin and outfielders Heston Kjerstad and Dominic Fletcher - were voted to the preseason All-SEC first team.
