Watts 4th Razorback to get Combine invitation

Arkansas defensive lineman Armon Watts (90) tackles Colorado State running back Marcus McElroy during a game Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, in Fort Collins, Colo.

— Former University of Arkansas defensive lineman Armon Watts announced on Wednesday he had received an invitation to participate in the NFL Scouting Combine next month in Indianapolis.

“I went from having 7 tackles in 4 years to this,” Watts wrote on his Twitter account to announcing the invitation. “If you have a vision and a dream stick to it. Only person has to believe in it is you!! I’m coming for it all.”

Watts is the fourth ex-Razorback to be invited to the combine. Linebacker Dre Greenlaw, cornerback Ryan Pulley and offensive lineman Hjalte Froholdt have also gotten invitations, according to UA officials.

Watts led the Razorbacks with 7 sacks, ranking ninth in the SEC in that department, and was fifth on the team with 49 tackles. The 6-5, 298-pounder from St. Louis also had 8.5 tackles for loss, 3 forced fumbles, 3 hurries and 2 pass breakups.

He also had a sack in the East-West Shrine Game on Jan. 19 in St. Petersburg, Fla.

The combine will take place Feb. 26 through March 4 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
