Casey Opitz swings at a pitch on Tuesday, March 11 at Baum-Walker stadium in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Arkansas will play game two against Grand Canyon today at 3 p.m.

Now GCU is going to pinch run for Bess. Stankiewicz comes in to run for him.

Burton's line (not final bc runners on base are his responsibility): .1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER 0 BB, 0 K, 13 pitches, 4 strikes.

Taylor strikes out Siffermann. 1 out.

Burton hits a ball right up against the fence in left field. Washington chases it down and gets there, but it looks like the ball was in his glove, but Washington never secured it before it popped out. The ruling on the field is Washington didn't catch it. At first it looked like Washington lost it on the transfer, but after seeing a replay it looks like to me Washington never caught it. If it stays as called it will be bases loaded. 1 out.

The call does stand.

Taylor walks Bess and that will be it for Evan Taylor. That's tough luck because if Washington can catch that ball in left field he doesn't have to pitch with bases loaded.

The Antelopes elect to intentionally walk Opitz. Runners on 1st and 2nd. 2 outs.

Top 6 | Grand Canyon 5 Arkansas 6

Moore singles into left-center field to start the bottom of the third.

Nesbit grounds out to third base. Moore was running on the play and tries to go to third, but he's thrown out. You don't see this often but it's a 5-3-5 double play.

Gregory walks.

Franklin grounds out to short for out number three.

Top 3 | Grand Canyon 3 Arkansas 6

Smith pops up to Martin at short for the first out.

Grissom grounds out to Nesbit for out number two.

Bottom 2 | Grand Canyon 3 Arkansas 6

Nesbit is hit by a pitch. The home plate umpire calls together the other three umpires and they're going to review the play. For what it's worth Nesbit didn't immediately act like he was hit by the pitch. The call stands and Nesbit is on first.

Gregory tries to hold up, but the home plate umpire said he went and he's the first out.

Franklin breaks out of his mini funk and singles up the middle. Runners on first and second with Kjerstad up to bat.

Kjerstad reaches on a fielder's choice. The shortstop went to second to try and get Franklin, but the second baseman couldn't handle it and the bases are loaded with 1 out for Goodheart.

The next batter Smith hits a single just beyond the reach of Nesbit at third.
