— The University of Arkansas received around $45.7 million from the Southeastern Conference during the 2019-20 athletics year, according to a financial disclosure report.

The conference’s distribution to the Razorbacks included more than $34.1 million in media rights revenue, more than $8.1 million in revenue generated by bowl games and more than $3.4 million in revenue not related to media rights or bowl games.

SEC Network, which operates independent of the conference office, paid the UA around $700,000 to produce Razorback home games televised on the channel.

The SEC announced Thursday it distributed $637.7 million to its 14 members for an average of $45.5 million per school. An additional $20 million was distributed to teams that participated in bowl games to offset bowl expenses.

SEC schools received an average of $44.6 million the year before.

According to USA Today, the SEC spent about $10 million less on postseason events due to last year’s sports shutdown and collected money from an event-cancelation insurance policy for last year’s men’s basketball conference tournament. The league also had a $20 million increase in media rights fees over the year before, USA Today reported, citing tax filings.

USA Today reported the SEC trails the Big Ten in annual distribution to its members each year. The Big Ten distributed $55.7 million to most of its members in its most recent reporting period.
