Arkansas college football recruits to put it in writing today

Adams signs with Arkansas

Greenwood High School quarterback Tyler Wilson celebrates his signing to the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville Wednesday morning as he calls and leaves a message with Arkansas's quarterback coach Garrick McGee to let him know the fax from the signing was on the way at the gym in the high school.

College football prospects will begin putting a signature behind their oral commitments today. The big catch for Arkansas was the signing of Joe Adams from Central Arkansas Christian, who had orally committed to Southern California.

The University of Arkansas has 22 oral commitments, but is hoping to grab a few more from outside the state.

So far Arkansas has signed Joe Adams of CAC, Dennis Johnson of Texarkana, Jerico Nelson of Destrehan, La., Zach Stadther of North Little Rock, Tramain Thomas of Winnie East Chambers, Texas, and Tyler Wilson of Greenwood.

Arkansas State University has 14 oral commitments from new recruits and five potential transfers pending. The University of Central Arkansas is expecting three signatures and six tranfers.

Not all of the recruits will sign today, though. Some will put off their ceremonies for more glory on another day. Others just haven't made a decision yet.
