BATON ROUGE — Alex Tejada missed a 36-yard field goal attempt in overtime and LSU escaped with a 33-30 victory over the Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday at Tiger Stadium.
LSU’s Josh Jasper, who kicked a 41-yard field goal at the end of regulation to tie the game, hit a 36-yard field goal in overtime before Arkansas got the ball.
Jasper’s kick at the end of regulation came shortly after the Razorbacks took the lead on a long touchdown drive.
Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett connected with Joe Adams for a go-ahead touchdown on fourth-and-9 from the LSU 14 with 1:18 left to play.
It capped a 14-play, 75-yard drive that started at the Arkansas 25. The Razorbacks (7-5) converted two long third downs, including a third-and-20 from their own 47 to keep the drive alive.
