Offensive lineman Brian Wallace Jr. of St. Louis Christian Brothers College High had an excellent visit on Friday and Saturday.
Wallace, who has more than 20 offers but has narrowed his list to five schools, said Arkansas answered all of the questions he asked and questions he hadn't even asked on the athletic and academic side.
The Hogs, Alabama, Ohio State, Iowa and Nebraska are his top schools.
He said his two possible majors, sports medicine and sociology were impressive.
After he and his father had a chance to talk to Coach Bret Bielema, he was very impressed. Same goes with offensive line coach Sam Pittman.
He was able to see the before and after pictures of the some players after working out with strength and conditioning coach Ben Herbert. Needless to say he liked what he saw.
He liked the environment around the university and the area. He said the visit helped the Hogs' chances with him.
Wallace Sr. was impressed with the friendliness of the people in Arkansas. He said academic support system in place for the athletes surpassed his expectations. He liked how they had a plan for the players to be able to graduate in three and half years and possibly start to work on their masters.
He called Bielema a great guy and a no nonsense type. He said the players like and respect Bielema and believes that said a lot and means he's in the player's corner.
On Friday evening, he and his son met with an offensive line panel. He said they were well mannered young men and answered the questions straight up.
Wallace Sr. said his son will make his own decision but he would support him if he chose the Hogs.
Arkansas' newest commitment, defensive lineman Armon Watts also of St. Louis Christian Brothers College High said the vibe he had with the Arkansas coaching staff helped seal the deal. He believes defensive line coach Charlie Partridge can get him to where he wants to be in the future.
The latest visit allowed him to see more of the campus and have more time with Bielema and Partridge.
He said he's pretty sure he's done with visits. He said he plans to make his official visit in December or January.
Watt's mother, Glenda Williams said the coaches gave her and Armon a a very welcome welcome. She called the whole visit a very nice experience.
She said the environment at the UA and Fayetteville was one she would feel comfortable Armon being in.
Williams talked very favorably of Arkansas student-athlete director Marcus Sedberry and the program the Hogs had to help develop the athletes into young men.
She also had very kind words about Bielema.
Springdale Har-Ber defensive end Jake Hall visited Arkansas on Friday. Hall, who was a standout at Arkansas' June prospect camp, said the coaches told him they plan to evaluate his first few games of the season and decide if a an offer should be extended.
Junior receiver K.J. Hill of North Little Rock visited the Hogs for Saturday's scrimmage and liked how the offense was balanced and kept the defense on their toes.
He said he and receivers coach Michael Smith became closer after being able to spend time together. Hill said Smith is honest and he believes he can trust the Hog coach. Smith told him he plans to attend one of his games.
He spent 10-15 minutes with Coach Bielema. He said Bielema told him Arkansas won't extend an offer just because Auburn did. He was told by Bielema the Hogs wanted to continue to build a relationship and get to know him.
Strength and conditioning coach Ben Herbert impressed him on how Arkansas could help him develop as an athlete.
Hill was less than a 100 precent with a hip injury when he attended Arkansas' camp in June and was fully healed when he received the offer from Auburn after their camp. The injury made it hard for the Hogs to evaluate him but obviously will be watching him this season.
