Arkansas offensive line coach Sam Pittman made an in-home visit with offensive lineman Brian Wallace Jr. and his parents Monday evening. Wallace Sr. said the visit went well and he likes how Pittman is straightforward about his plans for his son. He said his wife, Leslie and Pittman have talked often and have developed a good relationship.
Wallace, 6-6, 304, 5.2 of St. Louis Christian Brothers officially visited Missouri over the weekend with his parents. He and his father visited Iowa before that. His mother was unable to make the Iowa trip. Both parents will travel to Arkansas.
Wallace will visit Alabama the following weekend. They may or may not make a fifth trip.
Pittman also visited with Wallace's teammate and defensive line commitment Armon Watts, 6-5, 270, 5.1 and his mother. Watts called the visit great.
Offensive lineman Frank Ragnow, 6-6, 291, 5.0 seconds in the 40 yard dash of Victoria, Minnesota, Chanhassen said in a text message that Pittman will make an in-home visit on Tuesday.
Safety Shawn Boone, 5-10, 180 pounds of Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) Dwyer said Coach Bret Bielema, defensive line coach Charlie Partridge visited with him. He said offensive coordinator Jim Chaney and receivers coach Michael Smith were there for a short time before most likely leaving for an in-home visit with teammate/receiver Johnnie Dixon. He said Bielema and Partridge also left later to visit with Dixon.
Boone said the visit was primarily for his parents in getting to know Bielema and feeling comfortable about Arkansas should he attend school there.
He and Dixon officially visited the Hogs for the Southern Miss game. He has also visited North Carolina State, Maryland and Penn State and will visit Ole Miss in January. Boone said he plans to tell the school he plans to attend in January and announce his decision on signing day.
Boone has more than 20 scholarship offers, including Arkansas, Ohio State, North Carolina State, Ole Miss and Tennessee.
Receiver Kendrick Edwards 6-6, 200, 4.6 of Miami Norland said on Twitter that he plans to visit Arkansas on Jan. 24. He has about 20 offers. Linebacker coach Randy Shannon is his lead recruiter.
Junior linebacker Roquan Smith, 6-2, 204, 4.54 of Montezuma, Ga. Macon County said he stays in steady contact with cornerbacks coach Taver Johnson. He said he plans to visit the Hogs in the spring or the summer. Smith has 13 offers, including Arkansas.
Junior defensive lineman Quentez Johnson, 6-4, 320, 5.2 of Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove said Johnson has told him he plans to stop by his school this week.
Linebacker Sharieff Rhaheed, 6-4, 212, 4.7 of Fort Pierce, (Fla.) Central tweeted that Partridge visited his school today.
Tight end Blake Whitley of Arizona Western Community College has been on Arkansas' radar for a good amount of time. Tight ends coach Barry Lunney Jr. visited his school during the Hogs' last open date.
2015 Arkansas defensive end-tight end commitment JaMario Bell of Junction City tweeted that Lunney will visit his school on Tuesday.
Arkansas tight end commitment Jack Kraus, 6-5, 240, 4.9 of Bentonville graded out at 90% in Friday's game.
Bentonville sophomore quarterback Kasey Ford, 6-5, 237 was 8 of 12 for 130 yards and 2 touchdowns.
