Chris Smith has been invited to New York for the weekend of the NFL Draft, but not to sit in the "green room" at Radio City Music Hall as was incorrectly reported by this website last week.

Smith, a former Arkansas defensive end, received an invitation from the NFL Players Association to attend the Rookie Premier Debut events in New York, according to his agent Tommy Sims. The first round of the NFL Draft is May 8, while the second and third rounds are May 9 and final four rounds are May 10.

ESPN draft experts Mel Kiper, Jr. and Todd McShay each have Smith ranked as one of the seven best defensive ends in this year's draft.

Smith recorded 11.5 tackles for loss, including 8.5 sacks as a senior. He played in the Senior Bowl in January and was invited to the NFL's scouting combine in February.
