— Arkansas will play Oklahoma on Dec. 21 at Verizon Arena in North Little Rock.

The game is part of an inaugural SEC-Big 12 challenge to help promote the leagues' conference tournaments. Texas will play Texas A&M the same day at Verizon Arena.

The Razorbacks will play Texas and Oklahoma will play Texas A&M at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City the next season as part of the event. The 2015 SEC Tournament will be played in North Little Rock and the 2016 Big 12 Tournament will be played in Oklahoma City.

Arkansas last played in North Little Rock at the 2009 SEC Tournament. The Razorbacks' only regular season game at Verizon (then Alltel) Arena was against Louisiana-Monroe in 2004.

The game against Oklahoma is the first known nonconference date in Jimmy Dykes' first season as head coach of the Razorbacks. The rest of the nonconference schedule will be announced later this summer.
