Ted Kapita

Kapita, who ESPN ranks the No, 71 prospect in the nation for the 2015 class, is a native of Kinshasa, Congo. He moved the United States in 2011 and played at Florida Air Academy in Melbourne as a junior before enrolling at Huntington Prep.

Getting the necessary paperwork from his homeland has slowed the process.

Kapita, 6-9, 235 pounds of Huntington Prep in West Virginia chose the Hogs over numerous scholarship offers from schools like West Virginia, Memphis, Oregon and Missouri.

Guard Jimmy Whitt, who also signed with the Hogs, is on campus.

Whitt, 6-2, 170 pounds of Columbia, (Mo.) Hickman averaged 30.7 points, 8 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 3.6 steals and 1.2 blocks as a senior. ESPN rates him the No. 11 point guard and No. 77 overall prospect in the nation.
