Arkansas soccer advances to SEC title game

Arkansas scored two goals in the final 16 minutes and beat Auburn 3-1 in the SEC Soccer Tournament semifinals in Orange Beach, Ala., on Friday.

The No. 19 Razorbacks will play No. 15 Florida in the tournament championship game Sunday at 3 p.m. on ESPNU. Arkansas upset the Gators 2-1 in September.

The Razorbacks have never won an SEC championship.

Kayla McKeon scored on a penalty kick in the 74th minute to give Arkansas a 2-1 lead in Friday's semifinals match. Katie Moore added an insurance goal in the 84th minute to make it 3-1.

The No. 11 Tigers played a woman down for much of the second half after Avery Batson earned a red card in the 68th minute.

Lindsey Mayo scored her team-leading ninth goal of the season to give Arkansas a 1-0 lead in the fifth minute. The Razorbacks led 1-0 at halftime.

Auburn tied the match on Casie Ramsier's goal in the 46th minute.

The Razorbacks (17-4) avenged a 3-2 loss to the Tigers on Oct. 14.
