SEC commissioner Greg Sankey announced Thursday that the league has suspended all on- and off-campus recruiting through at least March 30.

Several Arkansas football prospects had planned to visit Fayetteville during the timeframe. The Razorbacks hosted more than 30 prospects last weekend.

The Razorbacks are scheduled to begin spring practice Monday, but it is unknown whether that will continue as planned. The SEC suspended all sporting events on its campuses until at least March 30, but the conference, for now, is leaving decisions about practice up to the individual programs.

The UA has canceled all on-campus classes and transitioned toward online courses and other alternate methods of instruction.

If the recruiting ban is lifted on March 30, Arkansas and other schools can begin hosting recruits on official visits and unofficial visits on April 1.

The spring signing period for basketball begins on April 15 and runs through May 20. Arkansas basketball coach Eric Musselman and his staff have reached out to at least three transfers.

Because of the suspension of the recruiting suspension, schools will have a tight window to host prospects on official visits before signing day. Schools could host on April 1 and April 9-12. There is a dead period from April 13-16.
