2 Arkansas opponents in preseason AP basketball poll

— Two of Arkansas' 22 opponents are ranked in the preseason Associated Press Top 25 basketball poll that was released Monday.

The Razorbacks are scheduled to play at No. 12 Tennessee on Jan. 6 and at No. 10 Kentucky on Feb. 9. The Volunteers and Wildcats were the only ranked SEC teams this preseason.

LSU narrowly missed being ranked with 14 vote points behind No. 25 Michigan. Florida, Alabama and Auburn also received votes in the preseason poll.

The Razorbacks are scheduled to play Alabama, Auburn and LSU twice, and Florida once during the 2020-21 season.

Arkansas did not receive any votes in the poll and will begin unranked for the 13th consecutive season.

Gonzaga is ranked No. 1 in the preseason poll and is followed by Baylor, Villanova, Virginia and Iowa.

The Big Ten led all conferences with seven ranked teams in the preseason poll. The Big 12 had five ranked teams, the ACC had four and the Pac-12 had three.
