Arkansas guard Saylor Poffenbarger was named the SEC Freshman of the Week on Tuesday.
Poffenbarger averaged 12.3 points, a team-leading 6.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game during the Razorbacks’ 3-0 weekend at the Paradise Jam in the U.S. Virgin Islands against Northern Arizona, Clemson and Kansas State.
In the Razorbacks’ first eight games this season, Poffenbarger is averaging 7.9 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.
Poffenbarger transferred to Arkansas last season from Connecticut.
