Arkansas wing Jordan Walsh did not have a banner day scoring the basketball in Wednesday’s first team scrimmage at the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago.
But he did contribute in a few other areas. Walsh, who declared for this year’s draft while leaving the door open for a return to the Razorbacks for 2023-24, missed all 5 field goal attempts and finished with 6 rebounds and 5 assists in 19:02 on the floor.
All of Walsh’s shots were two-point attempts, many within 10 feet of the rim.
“He did a little bit of everything but score the basketball,” Arkansas coach Eric Musselman said on the ESPN2 set. “He’s an excellent rebounder for his position and a very, very unselfish player. And I think he showed those two skills that he has: being unselfish and moving without the basketball, and being a range rebounder.”

Two of Walsh’s rebounds were on the offensive end. One came after a teammate missed a free throw, and seconds later he hit a cutter for a layup.
“He does a great job rebounding out of his area,” Musselman said of Walsh, whose team lost 107-88.
According to ESPN, Walsh is the 51st-best available player in this year’s draft.
Ricky Council, Arkansas’ leading scorer in 2022-23, took part in the second scrimmage of the day.
He finished with 4 points on 2 of 5 from the field, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal in 19:17 off the bench. His team won 122-95.
Council missed his lone three-point attempt from the right wing.
“Ricky is a guy that’s one of the best athletes in the draft,” Musselman said prior to Council’s game. “He can really, really score the basketball. He’s a very good defender, a guy that can really draw free throws, and his game goes to a whole other level when you can get him in isolation situations or if you can get out in transition.
“He’s an incredible finisher on the break.”
Council is listed as the 41st-best available player in the draft, according to ESPN.
