Astin, Stanek selected as Midwest League All-Stars

Ryne Stanek recorded his first professional win Monday.

— Barrett Astin and Ryne Stanek were selected to their respective division's All-Star rosters, the Midwest League announced Wednesday.

Astin is 5-3 in 10 starts with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, Milwaukee's Class A affiliate. He owns a 4.22 ERA and has struck out 43 batters in 59 2/3 innings, while walking only 12 this season.

Stanek is 2-2 in five starts with the Bowling Green Hot Rods, Tampa Bay's Class A affiliate. He owns a 2.63 ERA and has struck out 22 batters in 27 1/3 innings, while walking only seven this season.

In the 50th Midwest League All-Star Classic, Astin will play for the Western Division team, while Stanek will play for the Eastern Division team.
