Ashdown Coach Matt Richardson joined Recruiting Thursday to talk about safety Montaric Brown committing to Arkansas.
Brown, 6-1, 180, 4.5 seconds in the 40-yard dash, visited Fayetteville Thursday with his mother and grandmother and pledged to the Hogs before leaving. He picked Arkansas over Alabama, Oklahoma State, Auburn and LSU.
ESPN rates Brown the No. 11 safety and No. 187 overall prospect in the nation. He had 112 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 8 pass deflections, a forced fumble and 5 interceptions with 3 returned for touchdowns last season.
