Arkansas guard Alexis Tolefree’s breakout senior season in 2019-20 has opened doors to a potential professional career.

She has also found herself in the conversation when it comes to this year’s WNBA Draft.

Tolefree, a Conway native who earned first-team All-SEC honors this season after averaging a team-high 18.6 points per game in conference play, is listed as the 22nd-best available player in Friday’s draft, according to ESPNW. A total of 53 players were rated by women’s college basketball analysts Charlie Creme and Graham Hays.

Tolefree is rated as the No. 7 available point guard.

“Size and strength are question marks,” Creme wrote, “but Tolefree is dynamic in transition, fearless and has unlimited shooting range.”

Mississippi State guard Jordan Danberry, who began her college career at Arkansas and was a high school teammate of Tolefree, is No. 44 on the list.

If Tolefree is drafted, she would become the first Arkansas player selected since C’eira Ricketts in 2012 and seventh in program history. Ricketts, taken by the Phoenix Mercury, was the 24th overall pick in the second round.

The draft is scheduled to begin Friday, April 17 at 6 p.m. It will broadcast on ESPN.
