Arkansas coach Sam Pittman is expected to hire Butler Benton as the Razorbacks' executive director of recruiting and player personnel.

Benton, who was a four-year letterman as a running back at Cincinnati from 2004-07, spent last season as director of player personnel at Georgia Southern. While there, he assisted with on-campus recruiting and built a database of high school coaches and administrators.

Benton previously worked at Michigan State from 2016-20 as player personnel coordinator.

Before arriving at Michigan State, he worked in roles at the University of New Orleans and Notre Dame for more than a year. He also worked for nearly two years at Kent State as an internal operations assistant.

A three-time all-city selection at Martin Luther King High School in Detroit, Benton rushed for more than 3,000 yards in his prep career.
