Maumelle 3-star defensive tackle Nico Davillier has his college list down to eight, visits planned to three and his eye on announcing his destination June 27.

Davillier (6-4, 275 pounds) released a top eight Sunday of Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Penn State and Colorado.

“I’ve gotten to know all those schools quite a bit and I just have a good connection with all those coaches,” Davillier said. “I think they are the best schools that I have and the ones I am looking at right now.”

Davillier has set up some visits, including an unofficial visit to Arkansas on June 11, and an official visit to Arkansas on Sept. 10-12, the weekend of the Razorbacks' scheduled football game against Texas.

“I am going to Nebraska on June 4-6 on an official visit, I’m taking an unofficial visit to Arkansas on June 11 and then to Oklahoma on an official visit on June 18,” Davillier said.

“I have not stepped on any college campuses yet, but I am looking forward to seeing those three schools.”

Davillier has plans to make his announcement public at War Memorial Stadium on June 27 at Doc Gamble’s UAPB football camp.

“I just feel that is when I will be ready and it us part of Arkansas Elite 100 and they helped me get offers, so I think that is the best idea to do it with them,” Davillier said.

He has been getting plenty of advice from in-state players that are committed to Arkansas, including his teammate and Razorback offensive line pledge Andrew Chamblee (6-6, 292).

“We go up against each other in drills and practices,” Davillier said. It’s an iron sharpens iron thing.”

He also hears from other Arkansas in-state commits E’Marion Harris (6-7, 370) of Joe T. Robinson; running back James Jointer (6-1, 210) of Little Rock Parkview; defensive end JJ Hollingsworth (6-4, 250) of Greenland; linebacker Kaden Henley (6-2, 227) of Shiloh Christian; and receiver Quincey McAdoo (6-3, 180) and tight end Dax Courtney (6-6, 210) of Clarendon.

They are among the 11 in-state 2022 prospects who the Razorbacks have offered.

“They are trying to recruit me along with the Arkansas coaches,” Davillier said. “I would say the 2022 class is the best class that has come through Arkansas because of all the talent we have and even some talent that hasn't got recruited yet.

“I like our class, I’m close with a lot of the top talent in the state so it is good to see all the people I know getting to play college football and going to college for free.”
