UA gymnastics to hold meet in Bud Walton Arena

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas will host a gymnastics meet at Bud Walton Arena for the first time in 2022.

The Razorbacks will host Auburn on Jan. 14, according to the team’s schedule that was released Monday. It will be one of five home meets for Arkansas.

Auburn’s roster includes Sunisa Lee, a freshman who won three Olympic medals in Tokyo this summer, including the gold medal in all around. Lee also won a bronze medal on bars and won silver as part of the Americans’ team competition.

Arkansas will host other meets at Barnhill Arena against Ohio State (Jan. 7), West Virginia (Feb. 4), Kentucky (Feb. 11) and Georgia (Feb. 25).

The Razorbacks will compete in head-to-head meets at LSU (Jan. 21), Florida (Jan. 28), Missouri (Feb. 18) and Alabama (March 4). Arkansas will compete in multi-team meets in Huntsville, Ala., on March 6 and in Denver on March 13.

The SEC Gymnastics Championships will be in Birmingham, Ala., on March 19.
