FAYETTEVILLE — After three seasons in the program, Arkansas forward Connor Vanover intends to transfer.

The 7-3 forward from Little Rock announced his plan in a post to his Instagram account on Wednesday. He joined the Razorbacks following the 2018-19 season, which he played at California.

“Growing up in Arkansas it was always a dream to play in a Razorback uniform and I will never forget the amazing memories we made these last few years," Vanover wrote in part.

After redshirting during the 2019-20 season, Eric Musselman’s first at Arkansas, Vanover played in 44 games, including 37 starts, with the Razorbacks. In 2020-21, he averaged 6.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game over 16.2 minutes.

Vanover shot 56.8% on two-point attempts and was 24 of 74 (32.4%) from three-point range, beginning the year with 23 points on 8 of 11 shooting — 4 of 5 from three — against Mississippi Valley State.

He blocked multiple shots in 14 games.

Last season, he earned a start in 10 of Arkansas’ first 12 games then did not play more than 5 minutes after the Razorbacks’ SEC opener at Mississippi State on Dec. 29. He drew a DNP in the team’s final 19 games.

Vanover scored a season-high 19 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 17 minutes against Gardner-Webb on Nov. 13. His final double-digit scoring game (14) came in the 72-64 victory over Kansas State on Nov. 22 at the Hall of Fame Classic in Kansas City.

A 31.9% career three-point shooter, Vanover struggled beyond the arc in 2021-22, finishing 1 of 13 for the season. He missed his final 11 attempts.

Vanover made 21 of 38 (55.3%) two-point shots.

He is the third Razorback to announce plans to transfer since season's end, joining guards KK Robinson and Chance Moore.
