Bush, Turner find new schools

Arkansas cornerback Devin Bush returns an interception for a touchdown Saturday, April 6, 2019, during the Razorbacks' spring game in Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville.

FAYETTEVILLE — Former University of Arkansas players Devin Bush and Nick Turner, who entered the transfer portal earlier this month, have announced their landing spots.

Bush, a third-year defensive back and four-start prospect from New Orleans, announced he was committed to Southern University. Turner, a second-year defensive back who also played his prep ball in New Orleans, announced he was headed to Toledo.

Turner, playing mostly on special teams, notched 3 tackles in 2021 after posting 13 tackles in nine games as a true freshman in 2020. Bush, who moved from cornerback to safety during the season, recorded 1 tackle last season.

Nine of the 17 Razorbacks who have left the program or entered the transfer portal have announced their transfer destinations, including defensive backs Greg Brooks Jr. and Joe Foucha, who both committed to LSU last week.
