FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas pitcher Dylan Carter was selected Friday to play in the Northwoods League All-Star Game.

Carter will represent the Great Lakes Division at the all-star game, which is scheduled to be played July 19 at Witter Field in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., beginning at 7 p.m.

Carter, a right hander who redshirted for the Razorbacks this year, is playing this summer for the Green Bay (Wis.) Rockers. He has a 2.51 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, .191 batting average against and 2.6 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 46 2/3 innings.

His ERA is the sixth best in the league.

Carter has pitched at least six innings in his last six starts. On June 12 he shut out the Lakeshore (Wis.) Chinooks and tied his season high with eight strikeouts, which he previously set during a four-inning relief outing against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters on May 31.

Prior to Arkansas, Carter spent two seasons at Crowder (Mo.) College, including the shortened 2020 season. In his only full season at Crowder in 2021, Carter had an 8-1 record and 5.64 ERA in 61 2/3 innings.

Carter played high school baseball at Bentonville West.

It is the second consecutive year an Arkansas pitcher made the all-star game in the Northwoods League after redshirting for the Razorbacks. Right hander Will McEntire was an all-star last year when he had the league's third-lowest ERA of 2.59 while playing for the Duluth (Minn.) Huskies.
