The Razorbacks have also had a high school signee chosen and a Division I transfer who was committed.

There are still several names to watch today with Arkansas ties, including Brady Slavens, Zack Morris and seniors who do not have eligibility remaining. We'll also be paying close attention to whether any additional high school signees are chosen. If they are not, it is an indication they will be on campus for fall practice.

Bosnic drafted by Pirates

Julian Bosnic, a left-handed pitcher from South Carolina who committed to transfer to Arkansas earlier this month, was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 14th round, 410th overall.

This is the second consecutive season Bosnic has been drafted on the third day of the draft. He was a 16th-round selection of the San Francisco Giants last year but opted to return to South Carolina.

Teams can pay Day 3 draft picks up to $150,000 without incurring financial penalties.

Bosnic, a 6-3, 218-pound left hander, played only one full season in four years at South Carolina. He missed the 2022 season with a flexor strain in his elbow, according to The State newspaper in Columbia, S.C.

Because of the injury, Bosnic likely could have more than one season of eligibility remaining, which means he could leverage in a future draft.

In 2021, Bosnic was 4-2, had a 2.84 ERA and struck out 78 batters in 50 2/3 innings of mostly relief work. He held opponents to a .133 batting average, and held SEC batters to a .127 average.

He is the second transfer who committed to Arkansas to be drafted this year. Shortstop Jordan Sprinkle of UC-Santa Barbara was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the fourth round.

Reds select Neville

One of Arkansas' highest-profile high school signees, outfielder Mason Neville, was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 18th round, 543rd overall.

In an apparent sign he will reject the Reds' offer, Neville tweeted shortly after he was drafted, "I choose the Omahogs."

Neville attended Basic High School in Las Vegas and was rated the 184th-best prospect in this year's draft by Baseball America.

3 Former Razorbacks drafted

Two former Arkansas right-handed pitchers have been drafted on Day 3 — Blake Adams by the Colorado Rockies in the 13th round and Mark Adamiak by the Oakland Athletics in the 15th round.

Former Arkansas outfielder Curtis Washington, who is now at Purdue, was also drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 19th round.

Adams spent the 2020 and 2021 seasons with the Razorbacks before he transferred to Kansas State. He played high school baseball at Springdale Har-Ber.

Adamiak pitched his third season at Arkansas this year. He transferred to Missouri following the season.

Washington, who grew up in West Memphis, played for the Razorbacks in 2019 and 2020. He spent the 2021 season at Wabash (Ill.) Valley College before transferring to Purdue.

Arkansas has had three former players drafted this year. Right-handed pitcher Caleb Bolden was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the seventh round. He pitched this year at TCU after spending four seasons with the Razorbacks.
