Four Razorbacks hit a home run and Arkansas scored the game’s final six runs to bounce back from a Game 1 loss and defeat Texas A&M 7-3 on Saturday at Davis Diamond in College Station, Texas.

The win gives Arkansas (40-9, 18-5 SEC) its fourth 40-win season in program history and back-to-back seasons reaching this mark. The four home runs bring the Razorbacks' total to 96 and breaks the single-season team record set in 2021.

Arkansas overcame a rocky start Saturday before finding its rhythm.

Texas A&M freshman Katie Dack didn’t skip a beat after hitting a walk-off single in the ninth inning Friday. She launched a two-run homer off the scoreboard in the first inning, putting the Aggies ahead 2-0.

Hannah Gammill answered in the second inning with a leadoff bomb, sending a solo shot over the center-field wall. It was the 17th of the season for the sophomore from Beebe, Ark. She was 2 of 3 in the game.

After retiring the next two batters, Aggies starter Makinzy Herzog walked three consecutive Razorbacks to load the bases, but she was able to escape the jam on Hannah McEwen’s pop out.

Texas A&M scored again in the third inning when Haley Lee and Morgan Smith hit back-to-back doubles off Mary Haff and extended the lead to 3-1. It would be the final run of the game for the Aggies.

Haff had a quick turnaround, starting in the circle for Arkansas after pitching the final 5 1/3 innings Friday. After the three runs allowed early, the reigning SEC pitcher of the week found her groove.

She allowed only one hit in the final four innings en route to earning the win. Haff gave up 3 runs on 4 hits and struck out 5 Aggies.

The Razorbacks tied the game in the fourth inning.

KB Sides continued her stellar play in conference action, mashing a two-run home run to center field. The redshirt-senior transfer from Alabama has a team-best .451 batting average in SEC games.

Herzog was replaced with Grace Uribe in the circle for Texas A&M in the fifth. After issuing a leadoff walk to Taylor Ellsworth, she found herself facing Danielle Gibson, a top 10 finalist for USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year.

Gibson gave Arkansas its first lead of the day, inching a two-run home run over the outstretched arm of Smith in right field. After Gammill singled in the next at-bat, Uribe was replaced by Emiley Kennedy.

Linnie Malkin kept the fifth inning fireworks going for the Razorbacks.

The fifth-year senior hit Arkansas’ third two-run bomb of the game, extending the lead to 7-3. It was her 18th of the season and put her one home run behind the program career record (47) set by Devon Wallace from 2012-15.

No runs were scored in the last two innings and Arkansas secured the win. The Razorbacks have not dropped an SEC series this season and have won eight straight dating back to 2021.

The rubber match is scheduled for noon Sunday and will air on SEC Network-Plus.
