FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas will have an early kickoff for its Nov. 12 game against LSU at Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

The game is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. and will be televised by CBS or ESPN. A final determination on the network will not be made until this weekend.

Arkansas (5-3, 2-3 SEC) is scheduled to host 23rd-ranked Liberty on Saturday in Fayetteville. No. 15 LSU (6-2, 4-1) is scheduled to host sixth-ranked Alabama this week.

It will be the fourth 11 a.m. kickoff for an Arkansas game this season. The Razorbacks defeated South Carolina 44-30 at home on Sept. 10, lost 40-17 at Mississippi State on Oct. 8, and won 41-27 at Auburn last week in that time slot.

Arkansas coach Sam Pittman said Monday that the atmosphere for the South Carolina game earlier this season was great, but said the early start time is detrimental to recruiting.

Pittman said he was “certainly hoping for a night game” against LSU because it would allow for recruits from further away to attend the game. Games with early kickoffs can be more difficult to attend for players who have high school games the night before.

“I’m a little disappointed in that,” Pittman said, “but it is what it is.”

Arkansas defeated LSU 16-13 in overtime last year at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, La., to snap a five-game losing streak in the rivalry series that awards the 175-pound "Golden Boot" to the winner. The Razorbacks haven’t beaten the Tigers in Fayetteville since a 17-0 victory in 2014 when Pittman was in his second season as Arkansas’ offensive line coach.

LSU is in its first season under coach Brian Kelly, who was hired away from Notre Dame last year.
