FAYETTEVILLE — Five Arkansas softball players have earned All-SEC second-team honors, the league announced Friday.

Left-handed pitcher Hannah Camenzind, second baseman Kristina Foreman, first baseman Cylie Halvorson, designated player Rylin Hedgecock and center fielder Reagan Johnson each received second-team recogntion.

Hedgecock ranks fourth nationally with 20 home runs and is second in the SEC with 58 RBI. She is tied with Danielle Gibson (2022) for the third-most home runs in a season by a Razorback.

She entered the designated player role this season and has nearly doubled her career at-bats. Hedgecock had 78 at-bats from 2020-22 and has 154 at-bats this season.

Camenzind and Johnson became the first Arkansas freshmen named to an All-SEC team since Mary Haff notched second-team honors in 2018.

Camenzind is 4-2 and recently shut out Tennessee in a rubber match on May 1 to give the Razorbacks their first series victory over a top-three opponent in program history. She has won three freshman of the week awards since April 4.

Johnson is a top-10 finalist for national freshman of the year. She is second in the SEC with 73 hits and posted a .333 batting average in conference games.

Foreman and Halvorson both transferred to Arkansas prior to the 2023 season and have made their presence felt.

Foreman has been a difficult out in SEC play, posting a .397 on-base percentage. In conference games, Halvorson is fifth in runs scored (18), seventh in home runs (6), eighth in total bases (45) and eighth in RBI (19).
