FAYETTEVILLE — Former Arkansas men's basketball guard Tramon Mark is staying in the SEC and has committed to Texas. Mark is returning to his home state, where he started his collegiate career with Houston.

On3 first reported the news.

Texas will be playing its first SEC season in 2024-25, joining the league from the Big 12.

Mark entered the transfer portal following former Razorbacks coach Eric Musselman's departure for Southern Cal. He was among the final two scholarship players remaining on Arkansas' roster along with Trevon Brazile, who has since declared for the NBA Draft.

The Razorbacks currently have no scholarship players on the roster, with walk-on forward Lawson Blake being the only remaining player from this season's team. New Arkansas coach John Calipari, who is expected to bring some of his Kentucky roster with him to Fayetteville, has 13 roster spots to fill. Nine players, including walk-on Cade Arbogast, entered the portal while five others exhausted their eligibility.

Calipari said he met with three players from this season's team at his introductory press conference, but did not say who they were.

Mark was the Razorbacks' most consistent player throughout the season. He averaged 16.2 points and 4.2 rebounds for an Arkansas team that finished 16-17. He is the second Razorback to commit elsewhere since entering the portal, joining Arkansas State commit Joseph Pinion.

Denijay Harris, Davonte 'Devo' Davis, Keyon Menifield, Layden Blocker, Khalif Battle and Baye Fall are all still in the portal. Some of them could return to Arkansas, should Calipari invite them back.
