TRANSFER TRACKER: Monitoring the Razorbacks' transfer commitments

The NCAA transfer portal opened for business Dec. 4. 

Arkansas is expected to lose several players to the portal and gain several from the portal. We'll update this page each time the Razorbacks have a player announce his intentions to leave Arkansas or transfer into the program. 

TRANSFERRING IN

LB Xavian Sorey

Old School: Georgia

He made 2 starts for Georgia this season as a redshirt sophomore and recorded 19 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, 1 sack and 1 pass deflection. Sorey is the No. 15 linebacker and No. 180 transfer in the NCAA transfer portal, according to On3.com.

OL Addison Nichols

Old School: Tennessee

At 6-5 and 327 pounds, Nichols played in every regular-season game for the Vols in 2023 and played in 2 games as a freshman in 2022. He is capable of playing center and guard. On3.com rates him the No. 23 interior offensive lineman in the transfer portal and No. 256 overall transfer.

TE Andreas Paaske

Old School: Eastern Michigan

Paaske enrolled at Eastern Michigan in 2021 after playing for the Søllerød Gold Diggers of the Danish National League. He had 10 receptions for 206 yards and 2 touchdowns in 2023.

QB Taylen Green

Old School: Boise State

Green completed 121 of 212 passes for 1,752 yards and 11 touchdowns against 9 interceptions this past season at Boise State. He also rushed 77 times for 434 yards and 9 touchdowns. He showcased his talent in the Broncos’ 44-20 victory over UNLV in the Mountain West Championship Game. Green was named the offensive MVP after completing 12 of 15 passes for 226 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also rushed 8 times for 90 yards and 2 touchdowns with a long run of 70 yards.

OL Fernando Carmona

Old School: San Jose State

Carmona has two years of eligibility remaining. He is being recruited to play left tackle. On3.com rates him the No. 3 interior offensive lineman and No. 72 overall transfer in the NCAA transfer portal.

OL Keyshawn Blackstock

Old School: Michigan State

Blackstock was a was a first-team Junior College All-American in 2022. He was rated the No. 1 interior offensive lineman and the No. 6 overall prospect in the junior college ranks by On3.com's industry rankings before signing with Michigan State last December.

DB Doneiko Slaughter

Old School: Tennessee

He played in 42 games and made 14 starts at Tennessee in 4 seasons. Slaughter recorded 87 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, 1 interception, 7 passes defended and 1 recovered fumble. He led the Volunteers in pass breakups with 7 and had 31 tackles, 5 sacks and 1 interception during the 2022 season.

K Matthew Shipley

Old School: Hawaii

Shipley made 14 of 18 field goals with a long of 51 yards as a senior this season, and was 30 of 31 on extra point attempts. He punted 60 times for a 39.5-yard average and had 10 punts of 50 yards or more.

WR Jordan Anthony

Old School: Texas A&M

Anthony, a 4-star recruit out of Tylertown (Miss.) High School in 2022, had 3 catches for 14 yards in 3 games as a sophomore at Texas A&M. He spent his freshman season at Kentucky, where he broke a school track record with a 100-meter time of 10.16 seconds outdoors.

RB Ja'Quinden Jackson

Old School: Utah

Jackson rushed 161 times for 797 yards and 4 touchdowns in 2023 to go along with 9 catches for 53 yards. He played in 13 games and appeared at quarterback, running back and on special teams during the 2022 season. He finished that season with 78 carries for 531 yards and 9 touchdowns.

DL Anton Juncaj

Old School: Albany

Juncaj had 55 tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, 3 deflected passes and 5 forced fumbles this season as a senior. He was named a first-team All-American by The Associated Press, and his sack total led the FCS.

CB Marquise Robinson

Old School: South Alabama

Robinson recorded 36 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and 3 interceptions in 2023. He played high school football at Wilkinson County in Summit, Miss., before attending Southwest Mississippi Community College.

TRANSFERRING AWAY

QB KJ Jefferson

New School: Central Florida

As the second three-year team captain in program history, Jefferson started all 12 games in his final season at Arkansas and set multiple records along the way. His career numbers for the Razorbacks include top program marks of 7,911 passing yards, 67 touchdown passes and 88 touchdowns total. Jefferson also rushed for 1,876 yards at Arkansas.

LB Jaheim Thomas

New School: Wisconsin

Thomas started 10 games and led Arkansas with 90 tackles in his only season after transferring from Cincinnati. He also had 6.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks, but did not start the Razorbacks' final two games against Florida International and Missouri.

OL Joey Su'a

New School: Arizona State

Su'a did not see any action for the Razorbacks as a freshman in 2023. He was a consensus 3-star prospect out of Bentonville. Su'a, 6-4 and 346 pounds, enrolled early at Arkansas and participated in spring practices. ESPN rated him the No. 58 offensive guard in the 2023 class.

DL Anthony Booker

New School: SMU

Booker transferred to Arkansas from Maryland for the 2023 season. He played in 11 of the Razorbacks' 12 game — he did not play in the LSU game Sept. 23 — and recorded 19 tackles, with 2 tackles for loss and one-half sack. The 6-4, 351-pound defensive tackle had a season-high 5 tackles during a 48-10 loss to Auburn. Booker was a consensus 3-star in the class of 2019 out of Winton Woods High School in Cincinnati.

DB Malik Chavis

New School: UNLV

The Rison native reportedly entered the NCAA transfer portal on Dec. 6. Chavis spent five seasons with the Razorbacks, arriving on campus prior to the 2019 season as a 3-star prospect, according to Rivals, 247 Sports and ESPN. He recorded 38 total tackles, including a career-best 15 in the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Chavis had one interception in Arkansas’ win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff in 2021. He played 31 defensive snaps in 2023, per Pro Football Focus.

RB Raheim Sanders

New School: South Carolina

Sanders, who recently finished his junior season at Arkansas, announced plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal on Dec. 5. The Rockledge, Fla., native battled a knee injury early in the season that limited him to six games played in 2023. He rushed 62 times for 209 yards and 2 touchdowns. He had a season-best 103 yards in the Razorbacks’ win at Florida on Nov. 4. Sanders put together standout freshman and sophomore seasons at Arkansas, rushing for 1,443 yards and 10 scores in 2022, and 578 yards and 5 touchdowns as a true freshman. He topped the 100-yard rushing mark nine times with the Razorbacks. Sanders figures to be one of the more coveted tailbacks in the transfer portal.

LB Chris Paul

New School: Ole Miss

Paul emerged at linebacker late in the 2022 season and was named to the All-SEC Freshman Team as a redshirt after finishing with 62 tackles, 8 tackles for loss and 4 sacks. He battled a knee injury in fall camp as a redshirt sophomore, but played in 11 of 12 games and was second on the team with 74 tackles, including 6.5 for lost yardage.

RB AJ Green

New School: Oklahoma State

Green was the highest-rated signee in Arkansas' 2021 recruiting class, according to 247 Sports. He rushed for 951 yards and six touchdowns in his time with the Razorbacks. Green also caught a touchdown pass in his freshman and junior seasons. Among Arkansas running backs in 2023, Green led the group with 312 rushing yards and 2 scores. He had a career-high 99 yards on the ground in the team’s win over Kansas in the Liberty Bowl to end the 2022 season. Green had back-to-back 80-plus-yard rushing games early in 2023 against Kent State and BYU, but did not top 45 yards in a game the rest of the season.

OT Devon Manuel

New School: Florida

The 6-9, 310-pound Manuel made 4 starts as a sophomore in 2023, including the final 3 games, and had an overall grade of 68.4 from Pro Football Focus (PFF) in 417 snaps. He tied for 97th in the PFF rankings among offensive tackles. He came out of spring training as a starter at left tackle, but he had a series of injuries during training camp and was in and out of action during the early season while backing up redshirt freshman Andrew Chamblee.

DL Taurean Carter

New School: Colorado

Carter completed his redshirt senior season, but has one more year of eligibility remaining. He finished with 25 tackles, including 3.5 for lost yardage, and 1.5 sacks in 2023. Following a 24-tackle season in 2021, he was among the standouts in the Razorbacks’ spring drills in 2022, then tore his ACL in the team’s spring showcase and missed that season. According to Pro Football Focus, Carter played 261 defensive snaps in 2023 and posted an overall defense grade of 56.6 and a tackling grade of 72.4.

LB Jordan Crook

New School: Arizona State

Crook played in all 12 games in 2023 and was 10th on the team with 28 tackles in 142 defensive snaps. He started twice during his Arkansas career, including once as a true freshman at the Liberty Bowl last year.

WR Sam Mbake

New School: Unannounced

Mbake suffered a knee injury that required surgery during the Razorbacks' first scrimmage of the 2023 preseason. He was dismissed from the team later in the year for undisclosed reasons. The 6-3, 205-pound receiver played in nine games in 2022, primarily on special teams.

LB Mani Powell

New School: UNLV

Powell appeared in 21 games, mostly on special teams, and recorded 5 tackles over the course of the 2022 and 2023 seasons. He came to Arkansas after suffering a season-ending knee injury early as a high school senior.

New School: Temple 

As a redshirt freshman in 2023, Lewis played once and recorded two tackles. He played in three games during his redshirt year.

RETURNING TO ARKANSAS

The following players have stated plans to play for the Razorbacks in 2024:

WR Andrew Armstrong

The Texas A&M-Commerce transfer announced his return in a post to his social media account on Dec. 8. Armstrong made an immediate impact at Arkansas and finished the 2023 season as the Razorbacks’ top receiver. He totaled 56 catches for 764 yards and 5 touchdowns. He had six 70-plus-yard receiving games, including 103 yards on 3 receptions in the team’s overtime win at Florida. Armstrong had 500 receiving yards and two touchdowns in SEC games.

DE Landon Jackson

A projected early-round NFL Draft choice in 2024, Jackson opted to return after totaling 44 tackles, 13.5 for lost yardage, and 6.5 sacks, including 3.5 at Alabama in October. Jackson was an All-SEC first-team selection by the league’s coaches.

TE Luke Hasz

He caught 16 passes for 253 yards and 2 touchdowns in 5 games in 2023 prior to a season-ending collarbone injury against Texas A&M. Hasz had 6 catches for 116 yards and 2 scores at LSU.

TE Ty Washington

He caught 11 passes for 170 yards and 2 touchdowns in 9 games played this fall. Washington had 7 catches for 90 yards and 2 scores at Ole Miss. He suffered a season-ending shoulder injury at Florida.

CB Jaylon Braxton

He recorded 20 tackles, 8 pass breakups, 1 interception and 1 fumble return for a touchdown as a true freshman.

DT Cam Ball

The defensive tackle finished eighth on the team in 2023 with 32 tackles, of which 25 were assisted. Ball forced a fumble against Mississippi State.

P Max Fletcher

Fletcher averaged 46.95 yards on 59 punts this fall. He was a co-pick on the All-SEC coaches second team.

RB Isaiah Augustave

He rushed for 202 yards and 1 touchdown as a true freshman. Augustave totaled 181 yards on the ground in the final two games of the season against Florida International and Missouri.

WR Isaac TeSlaa

He caught 34 passes for 351 yards and 2 touchdowns in his first season after transferring from Hillsdale (Mich.) College. 

S Jayden Johnson

Johnson, who just completed his junior season, finished third on the team in 2023 with 62 tackles, including 30 unassisted. He intercepted a pass in the season-opening win over Western Carolina, and recorded 3 pass breakups, 1 forced fumble and 1.5 tackles for loss.

OL Ty’Kieast Crawford

Crawford recently completed his senior season at Arkansas. He played 331 offensive snaps in seven games for the Razorbacks in 2023. Crawford started the final three games at right tackle following Patrick Kutas’ injury at Florida. According to Pro Football Focus, he had a pass-blocking grade of 83.1 and overall-offense grade of 64.6.

OL Andrew Chamblee

Chamblee, a Maumelle native and redshirt freshman last season, was ninth on the team in 2023 with 405 snaps played. He received an overall-offense grade of 51.5 from Pro Football Focus. Chamblee played in all 12 games and started eight at left tackle, and was named to the Freshman All-SEC Team.

OL Patrick Kutas

Kutas started 9 games and played played 552 offensive snaps as a sophomore for the Razorbacks in 2023. He started eight games at right tackle and was the starting center against Ole Miss. Kutas had an overall-offensive grade of 53.5 from Pro Football Focus. He did not play in the Razorbacks' final three games due to a high ankle sprain.

WR Bryce Stephens

Stephens reportedly entered the transfer portal on Dec. 7, then withdrew in January. He played 10 offensive snaps in 2 games in 2023, according to Pro Football Focus, and did not record any statistics. Stephens had 9 receptions for 109 yards and 1 touchdown in 2022, and returned a punt for a touchdown against Missouri State. The Oklahoma City native arrived at Arkansas as a 3-star prospect by 247 Sports, Rivals and ESPN.
