Observations: Hagen Smith pitches well in his final preseason scrimmage

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas left-hander Hagen Smith had a strong performance in his final preseason outing Friday. 

Smith allowed 2 hits and struck out 6 in 3 scoreless innings, and his White team won 8-2 during a 7 1/2-inning scrimmage at Baum-Walker Stadium.
