Arkansas women's basketball's leading rebounder Saylor Poffenbarger enters NCAA transfer portal

FAYETTEVILLE — Saylor Poffenbarger, who averaged 10.2 points and 11.2 rebounds as a redshirt sophomore for the Arkansas women’s basketball team this season, has entered the NCAA transfer portal, a source confirmed Monday.

Poffenbarger, who transferred to Arkansas from Connecticut in 2021, played two seasons with the Razorbacks. She ranked eighth nationally with 11.2 rebounds per game this season.

Poffenbarger led the Razorbacks shooting 32.9% from three-point range.

The native of Middletown, Md., set the Razorbacks’ program record with 283 defensive rebounds in 2023-24. Her 508 defensive rebounds over a two-season span were the second most by an Arkansas player since 2005-06.

Poffenbarger joined leading scorer Taliah Scott and Jersey Wolfenbarger among Arkansas players to enter the portal Monday, which was the first day of it opening. Wolfenbarger left the team prior to the start of the season.
